in the past 3 days, ive been adding my citrus sisters characters (lila, leslie, and piper respectively) as custom playable characters for robotnik ring racers. im not great at pixel art but it is fun to get to play as my characters in a game!! so cool!!

i always wondered why they made him look so weirdly different from mario, like i knew he was different but i just couldnt place my finger on how, so thank you for this
really the main reason i kept them around was because the name "Citrus Sisters" rolled off the tongue so well i wanted to keep using them.
and, obviously theyre far removed from it now, but technically the citrus sisters started as Zelda ocs which is interesting trivia i guess
i came up with them because my friend lemonlime and i were playing minecraft, he had a zelda inspired house with a shop as the kitchen and i thought "what if there were lemon & lime merchants?" thus i doodled two girls as the shopkeepers inspired by MM's magic hag potion shop.
