We had that happen once while driving as well. Everyone was diving off the road and parking under trees. It really is amazing how strong these windshields really are!

Based on the striking yellow and black "W" or chevron patterns and those notably long antennae, this is a Longhorn Beetle in the genus Megacyllene.
​Specifically, since the photo was taken in April, this is almost certainly a Painted Hickory Borer (Megacyllene caryae).

(According to Gemini anyway)
