There was a talent show today to end our half day and a kid did a standup act and honestly I was impressed that 1. He even got up there at all and 2. A lot of his stuff was just reciting jokes, yeah, but the ending he did actually write sort of like his own bit, which at that age is awesome

It’s one of those things where like. This can be not a big deal at all. Or it can. If they just change it, wordlessly and without any fuss, it’ll be nothing. Hopefully they opt for that.

The pacing and structure is really really weird. I feel like they didn’t really decide on a primary conflict for TWW even, if that makes sense? Like what exactly is our goal? I’ve seen people say it’s to get to the Worldsoul, and that would make sense but it doesn’t read that way lol

Empathy is inarguably more difficult than indifference or never trying to understand anything. Calling difficult things signs of weakness sounds an awful lot like something weak people would do, I think.

This also explains how they’re able to ingest the minerals but don’t ever pass anything- the mineral is completely burned up in their core! While not an intended function, it’s completely harmless to their body and the only effect is the sensory input they experience.

EARTHEN HEADCANON TIME

Earthen aren’t designed to require any form of nourishment, and even though they’re able to consume minerals, similar to cinderbrew it’s essentially recreational. The “taste” they experience is their core utilizing the mineral as a fuel source temporarily.

Amber: apricots

Emerald: Pepperoni but slightly sour

Onyx: black licorice but without the gross aftertaste
