OK, I left this inserted in my Thunderbolt Dock connected to my MacBook Pro and .... it just mounted out of nowhere.
Tonight, we buy lottery tickets.
This just made me realise my car doesn't have a CD player in it and I'm not sure how I feel about that.
It's been a month since I revived @dbspringboard.bsky.social - and I've really enjoyed it.
Plenty of interviews in the bag, with some reviews coming up.
Thanks to all for the support, signups, and buying the Bosses book!

Anyone noticed how the Shortcuts “power users” have attached themselves to the AI grift with surprising ease?
Two technologies nobody is really making any actual use of but a subset is dying to convince everyone is the future of technology.
And, while I say that it's accepted to be a bad game, it has a 79 on OpenCritic. Marathon has an 81. South of Midnight, 77. Super Meat Boy 3D, 74.
🤷🏻♂️
There's a disconnect somewhere, and I'm not sure I've figured out where it is. But it's a worrying one because, at the end of the day, reviews are supposed to give people an idea of whether they'll enjoy a game. And from the pool I've seen, that hasn't happened with Crimson Desert.
Fascinating.
Bookmarked for a read with a coffee later, so keep that in mind. But this game fascinates me. Absolutely battered by reviewers and is generally accepted to be a terrible game. And yet...
Everyone I see outside of the industry can't stop playing it. 60, 80, 100 hours and still going.
Meant to play one Zelda game last night. Accidentally played a different one and didn’t realize until an hour later when I saw the box art on the Home Screen.
So. Yeah. What a day.
Marathon's (lack of) console performance is less than ideal...
Dolby Atmos/Spatial Audio. Ruining songs on Apple Music since 2021.
Just makes it all the more baffling that some companies are ending support for it. Insane behaviour.
I can't imagine being a basketballer AND being Seth Curry's brother is as fun as you'd think it would be.
Talk about imposter syndrome.
I know judging a book by its cover is a faux pas, but you're off to a very good start. Love it.
Learning that BSky auto-plays video, brought to you by a PlayStation-sponsored epilepsy test 😆
CarPlay is absolutely a deal breaker for me the next time I change cars. Once you've had it, it's impossible to go back.
Thankfully, Space Gray and Midnight are *slightly* different, so at least I won't have to resort to taking a peak at the charging hole like a pervert.
Today’s delivery from the land of Apple.
Time to see how these things compare to my original Lightning version. Though I do kinda wish they’d sent something a little more colouful.
Sometimes, just sometimes, Twitter still has it.
You guys, I think I might be about to go from never playing a Pokémon game to needing to buy Pokopia in the space of 48 hours and I don't know who I am anymore.
Now is a great time to have a 400GB SanDisk microSD card die, right? These things are cheap these days, yeah?
First solid state storage I've ever lost, and it happens when prices are all over the place 🙄
I’ve never played a Pokemon game. I figured that should probably change.
Oh, and give this a read as well.
This. A million times, this.
It still staggers me that these people thought that admitting they can't do their jobs without having their imaginary friend do half of it was a good idea.
Does anyone have any experience with any of the TVs that turn into art when they aren't being used? Samsung Frame, Hisense CanvasTV are the two that spring to mind?
The new place has a media wall, so the TV is going to be wall-mounted, and I'm scheming ahead of time.
“ai;dr” is now my favourite response to this ridiculousness and I shall be using it with abandon.
I’ll probably be on in a couple of hours. Have you tried the Discord that’s for finding people to play with? It’s aimed at people who can’t play for hours every day so aren’t world beaters. I’ve found it pretty good. dadsofmarathon.com
Some UK prices have changed. But it isn’t consistent, even at the same retailer. PS5 and Portal have increased at Argos, but Pro hasn’t.
Has anyone moved house recently? I'm trying to crowdsource how big of a van/truck we need 😆
We've the choice between the (cheaper) "large Luton van" or an 18-tonne truck. We're going to move over a few days, so the truck is just for furniture, really. But having grown up with Lutons, it seems small
This just says it all.
The many useless articles, videos, podcasts, and they've all been played in clear sight.
