I think about 16. Didn't get up to cruise on this first flight. Ceiling was only about 3K AGL so we stayed low and not far from the airport.

Good question and it was definitely heavier in roll than pitch...

It's not made for carving around the sky in maneuvers. But straight and level flight up in the high teens and she's rocketing across the ground. Had to muscle that side stick. I'm much more used to the RV-14 or my 172. Can't finger fly this thing. 💪

New type on the logbook today. Heavy on the controls but a rocket ship. My first side stick experience. Columbia 400

Flying is definitely top of my hobby list but 🏄‍♀️ is a close 2nd. Living in ATL, don't get to go much. Got to experience Black's Beach today. Was gorgeous and a workout hiking down and back up the cliffs.

New hard copy license has arrived with the SES add-on...😁👍 bring on summertime lake life which may now include landing on the lake!

This order was a response to their 787 order announcement. Boeing order was 30 AC. Airbus 350+330 order totaled 31. Who wants to bet that 31st Airbus was almost given away to be able to say "our order use bigger than yours" 🤣😜

It is the most fun you can have on 100LL! But as my good friend who ran a seaplane school in Canada said "SES rating is a license to kill yourself in a whole bunch of new ways..." 😜

Finally got in the checkride. Now seaplane rated! Definitely a lot fun to fly! This really was the most fun rating so far. But was still nervous during the check ride... comes with the territory

Gorgeous late morning for some approaches under the foggles in the #RV14. Had to wait for the low fog to lift but once it did it would've been CAVU if not for the lingering haze layer below about 3.5k AGL

First flight for 2026 in the books! 35kts at 3k MSL but it was pretty smooth. Lake is pretty low...
