Thalyssa's blood works the same way. Those of her kind, upon dying, had their decomposing bodies revitalize the ancient sea. Now, as a human, she retains a degree of that ability. Her blood can be either healing or poisonous, depending on the fate of the one who consumes it.

Regarding her blood: The legend about how eating mermaid flesh grants immortality is quite popular. I really like Rumiko Takahashi's history, "Mermaid Forest." I love how she handles the themes of mermaid flesh and blood, immortality, and the "failed."

As I said, she inspired me with sirens (who are deceived by their voices, creating an enchantment). Thalyssa has a similar ability, but it only works on people with weak willpower or who are mentally unstable. She doesn't need to sing to use this ability. Simply speaking with intent is dangerous.

Thalyssa's most "powerful" abilities are voice manipulation (like mind control) and the poisonous properties of her blood (well, there's a catch). These are separate abilities from her electro-vision. By the way, she's a spear user, but she's not very good with it.

Another interesting fact about Thalyssa: The other day a video popped up about the canon "power levels" used in Genshin. I was thinking... and I think Thalyssa is actually quite weak in this power ranking.

Thalyssa makes you travel. Although, when she gets tired of it, she can settle down for a few decades in one place (in this case, Nod Krai, but long before that she was in Fontaine!). 🐳🏠

In that era and in that form (before taking on a human form), they used to travel in packs with others of their kind. Their life cycle revitalized the sea of that era. They used songs to communicate and were creatures in constant migration.

I've mentioned before that Thalyssa was a sea creature from the ancient sea (the age of dragons, more or less). Its original form was similar to a mosasaur (yes, it sounds funny, but that's how I imagine it). It's Teyvat, so it wouldn't be surprising, certainly (　・３・)

To create Thalyssa, I drew inspiration from creatures like nereids, mermaids, naiads, and other mythological beings linked to water. Also, animals like whales 🐳.

The other day I was talking a bit about Thalyssa in my IG stories. And I think it's information that shouldn't be missed. So here it is:

Oh! I have the same question. I find it a little difficult to imagine myself doing a Yume ship. But I like creating my OCs to make OC x canon. I understood that it also falls under Yumeship, but I'm not entirely sure ( ´-｀)
