How do we flush half the annual budget of the NHS down the crapper implementing Brexit and then claim we have no money?

EU divorce settlement £40 bill
HMRC IT upgrade £20 bill
Duplicating EU reg frameworks £10 bill
Upgrading customs facilities £7 bill
Two entire government ministries £4 bill
etc

I always wondered why Labour decided to pander to the Brexit ground that was already taken by UKIP and the Conservatives.
48% of referendum voters were ready and waiting to be represented.

Why replace indefinite leave to remain with a system that reviews whether one can stay?
The only difference is that you can then turn down some applications.
People who have been allowed to settle legally will then be deported.
Deporting legal immigrants is National Front policy from the 1970s.

If they proceed with changing the status of people who have already been allowed to settle here, then they are a far right party.
The people they attract in the short term have the most horrendous views, so they won't stay with Labour for long. It only shifts the Overton window towards fascism.

Won't be a revelation to anyone but the reason all the worst people on the right are pivoting to talking about race and culture rather than immigration is so they can keep banging the drum even as net migration figures fall (UK) and even reverse (US).

This is the next step and it always was.

Changing the status of people who have already settled here is the very definition far right politics. Labour are done for me.

Right wingers have basically been throwing crazier and crazier policies at the wall until they think that something might stick. It's an absolutely redundant ideology. Anything positive that it could achieve has already been implemented. It has nowhere else to go, and zero to offer.

Rob Reiner: I'm going to make a coming of age drama, a fantasy adventure story, a romantic comedy, a psychological horror and then a courtroom drama.

Us: Across your entire career?

Reiner: In a 6 year period.

Us: That sounds-

Reiner: -Each one will be arguably the best movie in that genre.

The people that Labour are trying to appeal to here will never vote Labour.
This is because, amongst that cohort, the least offensive of the views held would horrify most sane people.
That's why they will never be satisfied by any party that is capable of governing the UK.

You will be shocked to discover after reading these stories that while Rachel Reeves claimed to have been the "British girls under-14 [chess] champion" she was in reality merely the "Under 14s British Women’s Chess Association (BWCA) Girls" Champion.

This is getting utterly ridiculous now

I’ll also add that once TPUSA or its ilk has you in their sights, it’s over. if they decide they want to ruin your career it won’t matter what you did to mitigate.

Can anyone recommend good resources for getting the best sound for #youtube ? I'm looking at recording spoken word, rather than music. From recording through to producing output using Adobe Premier Pro?
Any resources - books, videos, websites

At some point, the BBC will be cancelled, and they're going to be very puzzled as to why it happened.

What about new builds? Are they different from the 'imagine 1991' scenario? If not, then owners of new builds are going to be hit harder, yes?

I’d suggest anything that restricts the rights of immigrants, after they have been allowed to settle, is a far right policy.
What do other people think?

Haha! So true.

For as long as I can remember, rich techies have been promising that teachers will be replaced by AI.

They were saying this in the 1990s, even though they'd only just got basic neural nets to function.

The last time rights to live in a country were removed retrospectively was when Idi Amin expelled the Ugandan Asians.

Until this is removed, the Tories are a far right, racist party.

Back when I was at Uni, there was a policy:
"No platform for racists or fascists"

Since then these people have been platformed, beginning with Farage being on every BBC show possible, even before his party had won a single council seat.

Now people quite like fascism.

Katie Lam has made a video - focusing on not giving new ILR grants to people who don't have it

But quietly including the Conservative proposal to be the first government since Idi Amin in 1972 to revoke the permanent leave to remain, then expel: she underplays to what extent

Idi Amin deported 80,000 Asians from Uganda in 1972. So although the Conservatives want to propose the first mass deportation of legal migrants since Idi Amin - especially with the retrospective changes in ILR - Lam is proposing to deport 20 times as many people as Idi Amin.
