This was a super interesting read for me as a quantum physicist. I learnt that zero-knowledge provers can be hacked, and that cryptographers' and security analysts' way of understanding quantum mechanics is completely different to ours. What an interesting time to live in!

A mathematical statement involving operator inequalities and tensor products. Statement in LaTeX: Let $X,Y$ be operators on a finite-dimensional Hilbert space. If $0\leq X \leq Y$, then $X^{\otimes n} \leq Y^{\otimes n}$ for all $n\in\mathbb{N}$.
A little task to get your brain going today: Prove the statement in the picture!
We are living in exciting times. Starting today, the zoo will be completely redone by AI! errorcorrectionzoo.org/__41ai
Copilot will use your code for model training starting next month unless you opt out 👇 If you’re a student on the free plan, consider whether you want to disable this before April 24th
Celebrate with us Quantum's approaching 10 year anniversary in 2026 with the publication of the 2026th paper! Do you know which paper that is?

I am surprised to see this and hope the arXiv stays nonprofit.
Today I spoke about quantum nonlocality in networks at the "Nonlocality: Driver for Quantum Advantage?" workshop at the @lorentzcenter.bsky.social. After the first day of the workshop, I'm eager to see what the rest of the week brings.

Some quantum info researchers are reluctant to learn about non-CPTP maps, but are ultimately left with no Chois.

Happy New Year to you too! For another year full of quantum memes :)
I was not expecting this for Christmas, at all. I am truly grateful for having my research being recognized this way. Thanks to @ioppublishing.bsky.social @iopp-quantum.bsky.social for this prize!

2025 is almost over! Looking forward to 2026, when I'll finally do all the things I didn't get to in 2024
The @ccbpp.bsky.social Spring School on near-term quantum computing is back! If you are a young (PhD/MSc) researcher in quantum science and want to get exposed to the recent developments on quantum computing, do not hesitate coming to Benasque on March 15 - 21 next year!

As part of a broader effort to demonstrate AI’s po- tential in scientific research [1], OpenAI executives have pointed to a recently published paper by Hsu [2] as evi- dence that AI can contribute original ideas to physics [3, 4]. Hsu credits GPT-5 with proposing the core idea of the paper de novo, possibly the first published physics article where the main idea came from an LLM, and discusses the methodology in a companion piece [5]. We examine whether GPT-5’s criterion is correct.
OpenAI leadership are promoting a paper in Physics Letters B where GPT-5 proposed the main idea — possibly the first peer-reviewed paper where an LLM generated the core contribution. One small problem: GPT-5's idea tests the wrong thing. My technical comment: scirate.com/arxiv/2512.0... 1/

A great read by Retraction Watch.
✅ Nice to see that some Article 1 authors, McCoy et al., actively tried to get help from Springer Nature to fix the incorrect citations to their paper.
😐 Seems like Scopus and Web of Science also have the distorted citations.
The list of accepted papers for #QIP2026 is now online at qip2026.lu.lv/programme/ac...
This is quite a discovery. Congrats to @krivachytamas.bsky.social for airing it out.
5️⃣/🔟 In Scientific Reports, 5 of the top 10 most cited articles have an article number of 1.
5️⃣/🔟 In Nature Communications the same: 5 of the top 10 are article 1s.
Coincidence? 👇
