Scientists discover how aspirin could prevent some cancers from spreading Scientists have uncovered the mechanism behind how aspirin could reduce the metastasis of some cancers by stimulating the immune system.

Cambridge researchers found ARHGEF1, a gene that weakens T cells, aiding cancer spread. TXA2 activates it, but aspirin blocks TXA2.

This may explain why cancer patients on aspirin have lower metastasis rates. Could aspirin be a game-changer?
