A photo of a brown ball python snake curled over the edge of a light tan hammock rather than fully on the hammock.
he sits like a bisexual
Literally same. Mine are kinda big so I fear that I would lose the nips 😭 And also give me more hip dysphoria.
Got called a dork (affectionately) while starting my dinosaur hall tour today and proceeded to give the worst tour of my life.
Btw for anyone worried about litter, this was being maintained by the booth the puddle was beside. :) The trinkets are for them.
behold, the trinket bog
They say theyre harmless down the line but most readers wont get that far... or at least wont listen after that opening
Sick and twisted that I think of Renaissance Faire all year and only get to go two days out of the whole year
A screenshot of an online news article from KTLA. It reads: California News Spiders the size of your palm spotted in Southern California By: Jocelyn Fiset Posted: Apr 10 2026 / 11:53 AM PDT Updated: Apr 10 2026 / 11:53 AM PDT Talk about nope, nope and more nope! There’s a new species of spider spreading across the U.S. that can be as big as the palm of your hand and can soar through the air — and they’ve been spotted in Southern California.
The local news places are finally covering the ONE Joro Spider found in SoCal and of course theyre making it sound like theyre establishing themselves already.
It was ONE spider that probably hitched a ride on something and was immediately collected. 😭
A museum patron takes a photo of a model of Homotherium serum at La Brea Tar Pits with text, "Sink your teeth into a new era! / La Brea Tar Pits Museum closes for renovations July 7. / Get Tickets", with the La Brea Tar Pits & Museum logo.
🐾 Sink your teeth into a new era!
For nearly 50 years, La Brea Tar Pits has been one of L.A.’s most beloved treasures, and it's about to become something even 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 extraordinary—thread.
I find it incredible, to an almost absurd extent, that one can go outside, anywhere in the world, and find an insect. In the forests, mountains, oceans, tundra and deserts. There are so many little beings outside just waiting to be discovered. We are so blessed but also woefully unappreciative.
A photo a fire skink, a red lizard with a checkered black and white underbelly looking towards the viewer. He is peeking out of an enclosure with leaf litter and green foliage behind him.
More lizard posting
I didnt see a single lagomorph today
ive gotten the HUNTR/X meal from McDonalds 3 times already yall its yummy
A green and outdated Allosaurus model with its back hunched over and mouth open wide. Its tail is very flexible and almost lizard like. The model is standing on a platform that looks like the ground and it is set on top if a small wooden crate. In front of it is a green sign that says "Do NOT tiuch" with a hand crossed out. Below that reads the same thing in Spanish: "No se debe tocar".
A close up of a green, retro Allosaurus model's face with its mouth open. It has very iguana-like scales on it face. The model has a ground platform and is set on a small wooden crate.
Making friends. Im borrowing him for the night. 👀
(Allosaurus model that was on display at NHMLA ~70s alongside skeletal mounts of an Allosaurus and Camptosaurus fighting)
A blue decorative sedar plate with gold details. On it jm a circle is an egg, a "lamb" (actually a chicken) bone, horseradish with onions, a piece of parsley, broccoli, and charoset.
Chag Pesach Sameach to those who celebrate :)
Replaying Psychonauts 2 instead of playing games I haven't played before but its fine because this game is so good
A close up shot of a reddish lizards face, slightly desaturated from being in shed. There is greenery in the enclosure behind him.
Pink skink
Age really is "just a number" when youre an adult cause how come I assumed someone was a few years younger than me when they were actually 11 years older 😭💀
Thinking of dabbling in creative writing. For me.
getting into things these days is exhausting everything is franchised like u cant just like one movie or one show or one game, you will be missing out on something.
requiem for vanished birdsong
An image of a green anthropomorphic cartoon lizard (Modo from the film GOAT) with a smug smile. He is wearing a black leather collar and a bright orang leopard print shirt. His neck and face are decorated in gold piercings and he has purple spikes on his head fashioned to look like a Mohawk. He is very cool!
Im not dead btw im just less online rn
Thanks!
Tarantula next? 🤔
A tattoo of a green praying mantis standing and facing the right. Orange desert mallow flowers sit behind and wrapping around her. The tattoo is placed on an upper arm, and you can see a bit of another tattoo (a green leaf, and a lizards tail) wrapping around the arm.
My second addition to my animal shoulder! Arizona mantis with desert mallow by Abii at VISM Los Angeles.
If the paleo community is going to be serious about Horner’s connection to Epstein, we also have to be serious about Myhrvold’s, because guess who contributed photos of animals mating to Epstein’s birthday book and has been appearing in new paleo papers this year - including the new Spinosaurus.
Interestingly I think this was my most basic entry! But I'll take it.
A screenshot of a webkinz news post that reads "Meet The Pet Design Finalists!" The text reads: "Wow! We had so many amazing entries in our 2026 Webkinz Classic Pet Design Contest! Thank you to everyone who submitted a design! After much discussion we have selected a list of 10 finalists. One of the following 10 fantastic designs will be turned into a real virtual pet in Webkinz Classic, available for purchase starting on Webkinz Day, April 29, 2026:" The first image is an Aardwolf, a type of stripey hyena, drawn in a cutesy artstyle. There is a drawing of it sitting facing the viewer, and another standing with a 3/4 view. The watermark says "SnowWolpard (lovemymutts)" and the text underneath the image says "Aardwolf by lovemy mutts".
...Ohhh
