Over £2 million has been raised for MND research through Doddie Aid 2026 and Doddie’s Triple Crown cycle! 👏
We can’t thank you enough for your support and efforts. You’re all still turning up, still giving, still pushing - and that means everything 💙💛
Same time, same place next year? 👀
A truly phenomenal effort, we couldn’t be more proud. Well done one and all!
Thanks so much to everyone for their overwhelming support of this week’s ride. You can still show your support and donate here 👇

After four gruelling days, pedalling over 700 miles, this is the emotional moment our cyclists finally crossed the finish line at Blackrock RFC in Dublin last night.
They’ve persevered through brutal weather conditions all to raise over £1.3 million and counting for MND research.
They've made it 🏁🚴♂️ Yesterday’s finish line might have changed, but our finish line hasn't: a world free of MND.
Make those final miles and the journey to get here all the more worthwhile. Keep supporting, donate to Doddie’s Triple Crown now: www.justgiving.com/campaign/tri...
What Rob said.
“We’ve set ourselves a task, and I’m not talking about riding to Dublin, I’m talking about finding a solution to MND.”
Kathy, Rob and the 40+ teams of cyclists need your support more than ever. Donate to Kathy’s fundraising page here: www.justgiving.com/page/fivehea...
This is why we do it.
So incredible to be joined by Lewis Moody, Ed Slater and our patron Jill Douglas this morning as the cyclists departed Gloucester.
The weather is not on our side today. Show the cyclists your support by donating now: www.justgiving.com/campaign/tri...
“We can’t give them much to look forward to but we can give them hope. We are pedalling hope.”
This is why these rides are so important. When you donate to Doddie’s Triple Crown, you’re helping fund vital MND research.

A huge thank you to PureGym Leeds for opening their doors and giving our cyclists a place to rest for the night - even turning the gym floor into a bed for the teams after a long first day
A class act and brilliant partner🤝

There’s continued discussion about a perceived link between rugby and MND, but some commentary can miss key points from existing studies & data.
MND research is complex & this is no exception. That's why we’re resharing this article to provide more clarity: www.myname5doddie.co.uk/whats-on/art...
MND‑SMART have confirmed amantadine is being removed from the trial as interim analysis shows it doesn't slow MND progression.
Whilst disappointing, this allows MND-SMART to move on to test other treatments. Recruitment for tacrolimus continues

We’ve been looking urgently into how we can help improve access to tofersen for people living with SOD1-MND across the UK. Too many are still prevented from accessing this life-extending treatment, and that must change.
Read what we’re doing to help fix this: www.myname5doddie.co.uk/whats-on/art...
Our Translational Research Review Committee is essential in ensuring we fund the very best MND research, and we’re excited to introduce you to our new Chair of the Committee, Professor Paul Matthews.

“Now is a time to step up and try and help keep the awareness out there, and hopefully raise a lot of money to help research.”
Yesterday Kathy Weir spoke to BBC Reporting Scotland about her involvement in ‘Doddie’s Triple Crown’ - a 750-mile cycle to raise funds for MND research.
Rob Wainwright is back, leading hundreds of cyclists on a 750-mile ride for us, and this year he’s joined by Kathy Weir 💙💛
Kathy says it’s the first time since Doddie’s death that she’s felt mentally ready for a challenge of this scale.
