The little teddy-bear creatures were cute in one of the classic episodes, but even that eventually turned into shooting and chaos. It’s always about escaping, running, scheming, getting away, capturing someone, and revenge.So I created a version set in the mood of the 1920s, where there are no battles or fights. People talk, read, dance, travel. There are a few romantic moments, a bit of playful chasing and an unusual sense of joy.The idea came to me a couple of years ago in Paris, at the flea market near Montmartre. I bought an old postcard showing a Japanese garden from the 1920s, with lovers strolling under parasols. In the background, there was a mountain that looked exactly like an Imperial walker from Star Wars.That’s when I made this series and even started animating it. Now, in the middle of all this rushing around, longing a bit for those peaceful, happy times, I took it out again and refined it.Interestingly, I also put the music together myself. I don’t usually like composing with AI, but this track really captures the atmosphere of the images I had in my head.And maybe those who don’t really enjoy Star Wars because of the constant violence and action will find this version a bit more enjoyable.I hope so.#starwars #surrealism #r2d2 #yoda #aiart

As I’m already struggling with Long Covid (& recovering from depression from the death of my parents) this seemed incredibly cruel.

My broken finger on my right hand makes drawing & painting (& everything) difficult & accidental over use triggers sudden agony.
