i've been pretty surprised at some of her recent votes, and this is spot on. it's unclear (maybe even to her?) who she's playing for, but it's a bad look imo

i mean it is incredibly weird and silly that for some reason these guys refuse to answer this question. i would simply stomp on the pope’s picture and prove i wasn’t a catholic! easy!

"Even the most overt fascism speaks the language of goals, of law, order, and reason. Even the most insane capitalism speaks in the name of economic rationality." I have been thinking a lot about this line from Deleuze and Guattari's Anti-Oedipus every time there is discussion of Trump's madness.

this is easy: we want open borders because all people have the right to free movement by virtue of their being alive on this planet. we don't want to deport our neighbors because we much prefer them to markwayne mullin, who we would happily deport to a coffin or simple hole in the ground

having access to home charging is pretty key for me though, no real charging infrastructure here worth talking about, plus they will charge you gas prices for it which is infuriating haha

i wouldn’t turn my nose up at a new leaf by any means—i have had 2016 (great, about 80 miles/charge, got in a wreck) and currently drive the 2018 (even better, 110ish/charge) and for my driving i have to charge about one time a week, maybe twice

dunno how much of a car you need out there, but even in my neck of the car-centric world, a used leaf has been perfect for 95% of the driving i need to do, and the leaf also has the distinction of being cheap and mostly “just a car”, which i love about it

And it is insane. The idea that every landlord has a right to maximize expected returns on a given rental to the point that we require individuals to prove that they have capital buffers to mitigate the risk of lost rental income for property owners beyond things such as... having a job.

(Alice Wong blasted StoryCorps from beyond the grave at her memorial last month—they wanted her "diverse" stories but didn't want to broadcast any disabled voices on NPR that might make (abled bodied) people "uncomfortable" if they heard a stutter or such... so she started disability visability)

I think one of the major reason kids in upper grades are struggling to demonstrate the knowledge and skills we expect them to demonstrate is because teaching soft skills learned at lower grades have been replaced with developmentally inappropriate hard skills previously taught at higher grades.
