Handwriting. President Ford & Trent Lott, Sept. '76
14th st went all the way to 21st ave, and the church owned the area north of that between 22nd and 21st. the old gulfport library was on 21st and hwy 90. the aquarium owns the restored building now.
here's the back of mom's photo (her hand) + the records.

a map section showing the south end of 25th avenue, which is also highway 49, where it meets east beach boulevard, which is also highway 90. with highway 49 on the left, highway 90 stretches diagonally through the middle of the image, roughly parallel to teh shoreline. south of highway 90 is jones park and the bert jones yacht harbor. 22nd avenue does not reach highway 90, and neither does 21st avenue; the mississippi aquarium bought 3 blocks' worth of property and built its ground over those parts of the roads.
21st and 22nd ave both used to go all the way to beach blvd (a.k.a. hwy 90), but the aquarium bought 3 blocks across and 2 deep on the right (east) and middle. the church was between 22nd ave and 21st ave on hwy 90, and the post office is on the corner of 25th ave (hwy 49) and 13th st.
a photograph of a church that has been hollowed out by a hurricane, leaving only the steel beams and the roof and the steeple, also heavily damaged. the ground in and around the building is covered in debris. to the left (north) of the church building is a covered walkway leading to an unseen building across the courtyard, which is visible on the other side of the walkway, along with another wing of the church.
the church was destroyed in hurricane katrina in 2005. this is my photo, across from what used to be the sanctuary's back entrance on 22nd ave., this part of which no longer exists. the church grounds are now occupied by the mississippi aquarium. you can see the gulf of mexico through the church.
Gerald Ford and Trent Lott are in shirtsleeves and ties, standing up in a 1970s limousine with their upper bodies out of the sunroof. both are waving to the crowds on either side of the highway. they are in front of a large church complex.
from my mother's collection: gerald ford and trent lott on september 26, 1976 in front of first baptist church, gulfport, mississippi. having just left the downtown post office, they are eastbound on hwy 90 toward fisherman's wharf in biloxi, according to records. photo credit: catherine adams gray.
Former US Secretary of State John Kerry on Colbert: “Netanyahu presented the Iran War case to us too. The response was no. The prediction was regime change, that people would rise up. None of that happened.
“Obama said no. Bush said no. Biden said no. We were lied to about what that war was about.”

screenshot of April 21 Wash PO editorial board: "Virginia plunges America deeper into the gerrymandering abyss The redistricting scheme was always a power grab by Democrats. Voters went along with it."
listen hun if you can't handle the Washington Post editorial board at their the Texas gerrymander "freakout" is "not a threat to democracy" you don't deserve them at their "Virginia plunges America deeper into the gerrymandering abyss"
good luck getting pierogi in poland buddy
what a troll
it felt like that to me from the beginning because there were so many countries involved (us/israel + the board of peace countries that iran targeted). like yes, the conflict is regionally contained, but we crossed an ocean for it, and other allies have been forcibly involved even ignoring hormuz.
azaleas are nice too
she can has hanami party
usa: destroys countries via coup, warfare, or oil corruption
usa: these are shithole countries. just look at them

kira was skintight girl in DS9. and heels, usually. and seven followed kes, whose clothing rather evolved
TIL waffle house omelets are western (not denver) omelets. i prefer beaten eggs, mixed with S&P& diced veggies/meat (red onions, bacon or sausage, hot and sweet peppers), cooked in butter, topped with cheese (and maybe uncooked tomatoes) and folded. that doesn't seem to be either western or greek.
cyclists also blame drivers
thank you for your service
i thought the same thing watching it. it really is the cliffs notes version of the story despite being 11 hours.
If you missed the Threadnought, which arose out of mockery of the anime subnormals and legal dregs who were supporters of a sex pest voice actor, you missed some of the greatest collisions of law, weird culture, and personality disorders.
yeah there have been hundreds of these stories online for 2 decades now
the way some glowing profiles put it, i think she's virtually his only customer
and his mom is his biggest customer
For the cost of one Harvard Professor of the Constitution Only Applies to White People, you could endow 10 professorships of any less commonly taught language at any university in the USA
between them and brasil, it's really heartbreaking that we have failed so badly to meet the moment. just all around.
if not @clairewillett.bsky.social she can point you in the right direction.
I LOVE what South Africa just did.
Trump kicked out SA's last ambassador to the US for being too blunt about MAGA racism.
So Ramaphosa replaced him with the guy who represented the National Party—the ruling party during apartheid—in negotiating the interim constitution with the ANC.
my read of the situation is that they whipped the votes to expel both of them, and they got the votes, and they were both given an opportunity to bow out as gracefully as possible and they took it.
