Here is an easy solution:
Food stains are humiliating, as they suggest you're a little baby who can't feed themselves.
Oil stains, such as those you'd get from working on your car, suggest you're tough, independent, and skilled.
Thus, simply cover your food stains with used motor oil.

And on the topic of practice - I clearly need some. Oh well lets see how "school holidays so more free time as not at work" lasts.
Tracing is barely better, but at least that still needs skill compare to Prompters. Copying I'd argue is learning, eyeball it and practice, but I can see why some simply see it easier to trace make your changes. Like 'Mech variants, redraw entirely or simply lightbox and layers to draw the changes?
