Huge thanks to @annaborghi.bsky.social & @Luisa Lugli for guiding me, @pennypexman.bsky.social & @Valentina Cuccio for careful reviews, and all my friends & colleagues who gave feedback, support, or just kept me sane 😄 Couldn’t have done it without you!

A key insight from my five experiments is that dialogue and social interaction are central to how we acquire, reshape, and co-construct abstract concepts. This highlights the importance of studying them in real-world contexts.
My thesis won 2nd prize among the top 3 in the last 5 years of the Philosophy, Science, Cognition & Semiotics PhD program. Finished in 2022 and mostly published, but this recognition still makes me proud—long nights of curiosity and dedication exploring how we understand abstract concepts.
🎓 My PhD won #BestPhDThesisAward at #UniBo. Moving beyond the abstract-concrete dichotomy, it shows abstract concepts exist in different types—flexible, multidimensional domains shaped by expertise & social-linguistic interaction. Grateful to my mentors & colleagues! Full text shortlink.uk/1mfUb

Conversational turn-taking feels effortless, but it's a complex dance. We find social context—who you're talking to and what you're talking about—fundamentally changes conversational dynamics in both autistic & TD children. 1/

Well done! 💫
A smiling researcher at CogSci 2025 stands indoors wearing their scientific poster draped like a cape, with charts, graphs, and text visible on the fabric. The background shows a spacious conference hall with people walking and blurred architectural details.
A research poster draped like a cape, showing charts, graphs, and text about collaborative memory and decision-making. The poster includes colorful data plots, grid diagrams, and sections labeled “Introduction,” “Results,” “Model Benchmark,” and “Conclusions.” The bottom includes the researcher’s contact information and social links
