Not every problem should or can be solved at the level of a municipality and its by-laws and enforcement teams.

We sometimes lose heart and think we need a big solution but oftentimes starting with a modest, hyper-local intervention is the best way to go about this.

Tegelwippen is my newest favourite Dutch word. It was "gezilleg" but tile flipping makes me think of how much flexibility we regain when we use building materials that can be installed and modified incrementally and iteratively.
