Yeah, I've recently taken an interest in sm64 co-op. Have a few ideas for game modes.
cracked unpatched game dev tip: you can make beautiful shaders with alpha threshold effects alone; shown is the effects in my projects as some examples (alpha mask > x = visible)
has it ever occurred to anyone that they probably had to hire literal electricians to build great bay temple? like "oh yeah, we need to draft up a circuit blueprint for the light fixtures in this temple"
In all fairness, I've hacked both games, and OOT's engine & systems are a lot cleaner. But yeah, a lot of if-else nonsense and redundancy too. One example of redundancy is that every enemy and boss in the game copy and pastes the damage table too. Very annoying.

Castle Garden (One of the rooms that can generate in my roguelike "personalized" castle generator)
Procedurally generated dungeon experiment- Includes loops within itself and logic to distribute modules and stars into treasure rooms based on challenge room completion requirements. Not sure if this will make the cut for v1.2, I'm just messing around while I wait on the new OST.

In Mario's Modules, even the settings menu is made out of modules!
30+ notifications usually look fun at first until you realize it ticks up for every individual interaction. So 30 likes on a post will max out the notification counter. On Twitter it usually batches mass interactions into single notifications.

The rotate module may seem useless at first, but it is immensely powerful in the hands of the right engineer.
For my reroll system, I took inspiration from the YouTube videos where people drop random objects into shredders.
It's a smaller hack for sure, but I'm expanding the scope a fair bit. Adding more rooms, stars, modules, and modes.
In the upcoming update to Mario's Modules, you can use sequencing modules inside the vanity socket and make funny lil' animations
