Reporter: What do you make of Republicans saying that Virginia—
AOC: Wah wah wah.
We have asked Republicans for 10 years to ban partisan gerrymandering. And for 10 years, Republicans have said no.
What they’re just mad at is that they have been accustomed to a Democratic Party that rolls over.

I'm confused by that graph... it's showing "change in non-use" and I think it's showing millennials had the *smallest* change in non- use, and the boomers the biggest change to non-users. I wish it showed overall rates of use or non-use.
There's no legal basis for these boat strikes, and US officials involved in them should be prosecuted for attempted murder and murder. The OLC memo green-lighting the strikes is still secret, but there's nothing it could say that would make these strikes lawful. www.theguardian.com/global-devel...
Every single one of the astronauts who went to the moon and back on Artemis II was educated at a public school.
Thinking of the teachers who poured into Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen tonight. You helped send a kid to the moon!

Maybe something like this has already been tried, and maybe the numbers don't really work. But I would love a way to pay a reasonable amount for an interesting article, without subscribing to 25 different outlets.
If I want to read an article, I pay the set amount ($0.25 or whatever). The nonprofit tracks these and makes a monthly total payment to the publication, based on purchased articles. Maybe they charge .01 per article.
Here's my idea: a nonprofit operates a system that newspapers (and other types of publishers) pay to join (scaled based on size). Individuals buy tokens (or whatever). Any member newspaper can put a piece on any particular article-- say $0.25 or $1.00.

That one person can drag us into a war without consulting or even notifying Congress beforehand, or our allies, or coherently explain to the American people why this is necessary, is absolutely bonkers.
Reminder that Congress has the power to stop this.
You could just have just googled her bio. She knows what she's talking about.
The US reportedly waited to strike the bridge in Iran a second time until rescue workers and others in the area gathered to help the wounded, which then killed at least eight people. Authorities in Iran are describing it as an act of terrorism.

A real cute little white dog sittiing on an unmade bed in front of a window looking real cute. Also behind him is a bookcase full of books he hasn't read. He's looking at the camera, looking real cute.

Ossoff: "This is what I describe as their 'Dear Leader problem.' Bc in this admin it's unacceptable ever to contradict the president's words, & bc the president is a pathological liar, our intel officials twist themselves into knots avoid committing perjury while never contradicting the White House"
Yeah, everybody knows policies have nothing to do with politics.
Oh dear
The way his teammates got out of the way when he got to the bench... he told them he was either going to puke or crap himself.
Nice that he got the win!
This is sloppy, disrespectful, and also fits into the larger pattern of using the work of independent journalists with no credit. Gillian is an extremely experienced journalist doing critical reporting and yoinking it like this is unethical and unprofessional.
He lied?!?!
"We started a war of aggression for no reason & commenced it by accidentally bombing an elementary school & killing over 100 kids."
That simple fact is so horrific that it's just kind of bouncing on the surface of our collective consciousness. We can't absorb its full implications & significance.
