I hasn’t gone unnoticed that my remix of Sister Ray Davies’ “Nave” (out today) sounds not dissimilar to BOC. When I made this tune in January, I thought that in the absence of any new BOC, any similarities would be heartily welcomed. Typical.
Cue goosebumps. The only thing that can distract me is the sound of scaffolders packing down next door.
To be walking head first into a strong warm south-westerly breeze at this time of the year is a great thing. Summer is here.
Enjoyed watching The Cure at the BBC on iPlayer tonight. What a lovely chap Robert Smith is, he’s a national treasure.
Ace gig at the Rose Hill tonight, with Minor Dents and The Leaf Library @theleaflibrary.bsky.social ; the latter with some impressive early-Stereolab French Discotheque style grooves. Nice to catch up with a few folk too.
I really enjoyed that too. Minor Dents were also very good.

Not had one of these in a while.
Ten years ago yesterday. What a day this was! I was looking after visuals on the main stage, and found myself working with Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats for the first time.
Burning Sky ‘Nourishing Stout’. I’m gasping for this.

At the age of fourteen, this was the coolest thing I’d ever seen. I think that still applies.
Careful! It’s a slippery slope!
Snap!
How many illegal regime changes does it take to get Nobel Peace Prize?
Four years since my first show with Ulrich Schnauss at Queen Elizabeth Hall in London. One of those ‘seems like yesterday and a lifetime ago’ moments. I’m still pinching myself that I worked with him on that tour.
Spellbinding performance from Radio Hito last night at the Rose Hill, Brighton.

Was that the year they played Glastonbury? Everyone says how bad they were; I thought they were great!
Ooft, I find myself (finally) at Darkfest at The Gardeners in Lewes. Dipping my toes in with this sweet as f ‘Cinder Toffee Stout’. Titanic Plum Porter next, a Titanic I always look forward to sinking!
Seriously good vibes at The Rose Hill last night doing visuals for Danalogue + Hand Of Glory. What a show! Photo by @bunkr303.bsky.social
Good to see you and Emily!
Not enough sunshine, too much rain.
I wish I’d ordered one of those t-shirts back in the day. That, and the ‘Faceless Techno Bollocks’ one (which coincidentally was quoted in a Guardian article yesterday!)
