We’re not going to “fix the Democrats’ brand” by doing TikToks or launching pods. The brand is a direct reflection of our elected officials. If we want to purge our weak branding, we have to purge the weak Dems. I’m looking forward to a robust primary cycle and new Democrats who know how to fight.

Tonight an unbelievable **34,000 people** gathered for our Denver rally to take on billionaires and win our country back.
This was the largest political gathering in Denver since Obama in 2008.
Also bigger than the 2024 DNC.
And the largest ever rally in Bernie’s career (and obviously, mine too).
These are the same Senate Democrats who lectured the base for years about the importance of preserving the filibuster so it would still be available when Democrats were in the minority

Years ago at the law firm I was working at in Seattle, I accidentally called the woman I was helping at reception by her previous name. I instantly recognized I had used the wrong name by the sad, demoralized look in her eyes before she turned and walked away, I felt horrible, it is important.

This matters. Not because I think Trump is capable of mercy or empathy towards these vulnerable groups. But because it is a public act of defiance.
Contrast that with all these other powerful people in this country signaling nothing but appeasement and obedience.

If a single left activist anywhere in the world says "defund the police," it becomes the official position of the Democratic Party, now and forever.
If the president's top surrogate repeatedly sieg-heils on stage, it's ambiguous, impossible to interpret.

I quit collecting comics around 2014 (aside from Chris Claremont limited series.) I decided to get back into some X-MEN comics, reading descriptions of Krakoa era, it seemed too removed from what I knew to make that my re-entry into the world. I picked Uncanny and Exceptional for jumping back in.
