I apparently click my tongue when I see the #Tigers do something bad on the MLB app a few seconds before Dan makes the call on our streaming feed. My wife already knows to expect a strikeout, error or the pitcher giving up a home run. (I should make a farting noise to throw her off!)

As a retired PBP guy and journalist, I am incredibly impressed by the amount of preparation and information you put into your posts. Combining current data with historical trivia gives it a live-broadcast-in-posts vibe. Wish there was someone doing that for the #Tigers!
Not sure what was with the bird songs back then, but Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep and Rockin' Robin vied for attention with Chick-A-Boom.
Doncha just love it.
The radio guys are always playing up his ability to walk and scoop bad throws, but the #Tigers have had many first basemen who also hit the ball. He misses more middle-middle cookies like no power hitter I've ever seen. I hope some other team can unlock his 1-1 power but I've seen enough.
My brother thought it was One Toe Over The Line, which made just as much sense to 13-year-old me at the time.
So Bello walks in a run and Wenceel Perez, he of the .059 batting average, swings at the first pitch and grounds out to strand three baserunners. This team is going to kill me yet. #Tigers
Spencer Torkelson still has no major league grand slams. #Tigers
#Tigers now have two one-run losses this season, both 1-0. Hate to waste a crazy good Mize start like that but Suarez was dealing, too. And not getting a run early really came back to bite them.
Welp, can't win if you can't score.
#Tigers fail to capitalize on getting to Ranger Suarez early and now it's just hoping Casey Mize keeps the Red Sox quiet until perhaps Boston goes to the pen. Suarez is a master at getting really feeble swings, especially from guys who HAVE to swing at the first pitch (hello, Javy and Gleber.)
"ALL WE DO IS WIN!" That, and the Southeast Michigan Ford Dealers spot are earworms from last season.
GRITTY #Tigers! We turned the broadcast off after the home run leading into the rain delay. BAD IDEA. Just got back from the pool, saw the final and replayed Dan and Bobby's calls in the bottom of the ninth. Wow! Riley Greene clutch to tie and then Colt Keith swats him home.
Anderson hasn't been worth a tinker's damn, especially for $7M this season. Whatever worked for him in Lakeland in March, he's completely lost the ability to throw it. But Hinch is stubbornly sticking with the idea he'll eventually find it, to the detriment of the rest of the team.
Welp, that was ugly.
So instead of going with Tyler Holton with a four-run lead, you bring in Drew Anderson as a bridge to give up three runs on one out and still have to bring in Tyler Holton, now clinging to a one-run lead. Not really liking that strategy, #Tigers.
In honor of us aging boomers, their one hits should be retitled "Back Hurts" and "Slow Drive."
Someone needs to remind him a save does not require having the tying runner at third base. You get one for a 1-2-3 inning as well. (He's also channeling Todd Jones, and I'm too old to ride the Rollercoaster.)
If the Tigers would like to do stuff before the eighth inning, that would be better for my GERD. Also, Kenley Jansen does not have to put a runner at third to get a save. A 1-2-3 ninth inning accomplishes the same goal.
Living up to that nine-year contract at 21 and three weeks in the big leagues seems like it puts additional pressure on a kid like Kevin McGonigle. But McGonigle is a special player. He's potentially Trammell-Whitaker-McAuliffe good, and that's an elite group of guys who have worn #Tigers uniforms.
HEY, SIR! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Sure waited until the last licks to do it. And the two Scotsmen -- McKinstry and McGonigle -- were brave in the eighth.
When it comes to pitchers duels, the #Tigers come without bullets in the pistol.
Is there a hockey version of Scott Harris? Because apparently the Wings and Tigers can't seem to find competent GMs at the same time.
TOM for the #Tigers in the first inning! Two-out magic as Keith and Greene single and Dingler makes Alcantara pay with a three-run bomb to left. 3-0, Detroit.
Sock it to me, sock it to me, sock it to me, #Tigers!
He threw more pitches to Marsee than most guys see in an entire game but that was the guy I think the #Tigers thought they were getting from Korea. Nice job.
Of course, now here comes Drew Anderson with two guys in scoring position. Why do the #Tigers mess with my blood pressure like this?
A lot of traffic on the bases but he's been able to wiggle out of them, which is an improvement. He had no control of the splitter the other night in the freezing cold. He's been able to bury that today when he's needed a strikeout. Never going to be the ace we all expected out of Auburn.
#Tigers Kevin McGonigle won't win Rookie of the Year in 2026 because everyone will mistakingly think he's been a major leaguer for a dozen years now. Kid is absolute nails.
As a guy who followed and covered auto racing, "Faster" is such a great description of the circus that's Formula 1 (and what the families of drivers deal with). And I still love the strange goofiness of "Crackerbox Palace."
