I'm thrilled to announce that I have launched my lab at the @petermaccc.bsky.social!

The Delconte Lab will focus on tissue-specific immunometabolism - with particular emphasis on NK cells - and how dietary and systemic metabolic cues can be harnessed to uncover new targets for cancer immunotherapy.

Fasting reshapes tissue-specific niches to improve NK cell-mediated anti-tumor immunity Dietary restriction is associated with improved elimination of cancer cells, and fasting regimens are being tested in clinical settings in combination with cancer therapies. Using a cyclic fasting diet (CFD), Delconte etΒ al. show that natural killer (NK) cells undergo tissue redistribution, where the spleen and bone marrow microenvironments metabolically reprogram and prime NK cells to increase anti-tumor function.

Thrilled to have this story out online in Immunity!! Together with @josephsunlab.bsky.social, we highlight how dietary fasting improves NK cell anti-tumor immunity and examine the tissue-specific processes that drive these improved responses www.cell.com/immunity/ful...
