The difference between 1 billion dollars and 1 million dollars is a billion dollars.

1 million is 1/10th of 1 percent of 1 billion.

More money than anyone could ever spend in a lifetime, but they are clinging to their wealth like a sticky-fingered toddler to candy.

Billionaires get mad that they constantly get asked if they'll personally fund something because they think we feel entitled to "their" money.

I think it's funny that they think they're entitled to billions while the wealth gap continues to widen and suffering spreads.

Agree. Asking grant receivers to compromise when they're the ones who have played by the rules and done what they were supposed to is wild to me.

This is such a common thought process of the super wealthy - assuming the lower class will accept the crumbs.

If dollars were days, 8b would be 21,892,265 years, 2 months, and 8 days, while 8m would be 21,915 years, 4 months.

Adding 3 extra zeroes changes everything.
