Popular or not, if its something you made. It's never okay IMO.

I put it out for free. So people sharing it is okay. But monetizing it, and claiming it's yours through the omission of credit. That's when it becomes stealing.

I found my comic in russian, on a russian comic site. Without crediting me. Cool. I wonder where else it's being posted? I suppose pirating is a form of flattery? 😮‍💨

I've found my comic on random sites I didn't know about in diff languages already. So I guess at this point, being asked is an upgrade lol.

Complicated. I can't fault people for wanting to read it in their own language. But also, the thought of someone messing with my comic, and posting it to places I know nothing about, makes me very uncomfortable. Art getting detached from the artist is one of my huge pet peeves on the internet.

Huh... i guess i have a different perspective since my wife's a writer. Authors edit the whole thing before it's released. Webcomics cant do that, once it's out it's out. So i'm paranoid about screwing up plotlines in the future.
