One for the half-wit in the Pentagon.

(I think it's a must read for anyone interested in military history BTW.)

Thanks! I'll have a look. Not going to match your excellent paint job, but it is very enticing. What rules do you use?

Wow, just wow! Have you written down somewhere what miniatures you are using?

En als je oudere medewerkers neerzet als nutteloos, achtergebleven of risico, en bedrijven weigeren 50 plussers aan te nemen. En tegelijkertijd de mantelzorg voor ouders zijn piek bereikt

A scene from the Kabuki play ‘Zen’aku Ryoumen Konotegashiwa’. Konotegashiwa (Platycladus orientalis) is a type of Chinese hinoki (Chamaecyparis obtusa); whilst the underside of hinoki leaves is usually white, this variety is green on both sides. Hence, the title is as you have translated it.

Miniature painters: I need to drill a very small gun barrel, for which I don't have a small enough pin vice bit.

Any alternatives I can use to make a hole in there?

18th-century handwriting "I indulged carnal pleasure. O Beast! is yt ? crucifying ye Flesh"

I also spent some time with the diary of 18yo Joseph Sewall (1688-1769), son of Samuel Sewall and future pastor of Old South Church.

It's all very dramatic. "I indulged carnal pleasure" could mean anything from masturbation to coveting a piece of cheese. (I am guessing the former, but who knows.)

It’s true that most GI’s were not aware of the extent of the Holocaust before encountering the camps in the Spring of 1945. Few could imagine such organized murder on an industrial scale. Many couldn’t believe it until they saw the evidence. That’s why Ike wanted every bit of it documented.
