I think it's weird for people who are nominally journalists to say things like "We should have waited to see what people think."

The issue isn't that you lost the coin flip of public opinion; the issue was that you gave into astonishment.

It is impossible to carry on normally during this administration if you're Hispanic or non-white doing anything in public spaces. Today, an administrative immigration judge ordered the deportation of City Council employee Rafael Rubio. This is an affront to justice.

With legal authorization to stay in the U.S., Rafael went to a routine immigration appointment only to be detained for months. He should be immediately released.
