In another life I went into scriptwriting because of how much I love studying the way people speak and how that can be used to explore who they are. I've also given (some might say) too much thought to how dialogue constructs narrative, which is how I wound up with this article.

When I say I hate some aspect of writing, it's like when I say I hate my cat.
There are lots of groups to be found outside of Facebook.
Whenever people say they need it to brainstorm, I'm like, "haaaaave you met writing groups?"
The worst fitting writing group I've been in was still good at brainstorming.
The only short cut in the writing process is getting better at translating ideas to the page and increasing your knowledge of writing mechanics.

When dealing with a flare up, make sure you have a cat to help you get lots of rest. Here is K-Pop putting all her insignificant weight on my shoulder to make sure I do not get up and overtax myself.
