As a parent, I never realized *how much* of my adult life would be fighting for the living things in my house to go potty.

Dog? Won't touch wet grass. Or go out in dark. Or if there's a little noise. Will hold it out of our spite.
Kid? Needs 382715 negotiations before even entering the bathroom.

I feel confident in predicting history will judge this decade or so as the absolutely stupidest time in American history.

Honestly our kids and grandkids will read about this time and be shocked that adults existed.

Update at 9am:
Forgot to eat breakfast and got dizzy. Spawn fully punched me in the head because my head got in the way of them throwing a ball. Ran into a wall that I swear wasn't there thirty seconds ago.

I need to sit down.

This morning I got up before my alarm, got ready for the day, took care of the animals, scooped the litter box, got a Pango package in the mail, started a load of laundry and unloaded the dishwasher...all before 8am.

The combination of firing all the air traffic people and then firing all the weather experts means air travel in this country is going to become even worse, and not slowly.
