I've never heard an ideologically consistent argument for young children having the right to self determinism. can square lgbtq+ issues with "it's bedtime" and "don't put that in your mouth"?
but to point of centralization, I don't won't my children exposed to evangelicalism until a certain age. that's incompatible with evangelicals, who have no fewer rights than i do. you'd favor one group over another, whereas I'd split authority to empower both equally and protect each from the other.
