This is the first time the phrase “favorite moment of the Sully Erna podcast” has ever been muttered

Nope!

Hot Wheels did this with a few 1999 cars that came out in 2000. The other example I can remember off the top of my head was Kenny Wallace’s Aerosmith car.

So impressive, in fact, that the post doesn’t tell you where he finished. (It was 12th)

The only way TKO will pay for better security at the talent hotel is if it’s framed as protecting the value of meet & greets.

In 2010, qualifying for the Daytona Nationwide race was rained out and Paul Menard DNQ’d driving for Roush since the 98 was a new team with no owner points. He ended up getting in by paying enough teams (6) to withdraw to get him in. He was involved in an early crash with Chrissy Wallace who was driving for Ware. RWR’s PR guy at the time put in their press release that it was intentional because they refused to withdraw to get Menard into the field. He followed this accusation up in the release with “That is the fact!” It was soon reissued without that accusation.

Lore dump (this is from memory over 16 years ago so I may have crossed wires somewhere)

I agree. Same if a driver used it and pulled away from the trailing car.

I haven’t read the rule book, but unless there’s a rule that explicitly says you’re not allowed to press the button I’m not sure they can really penalize anyone here.

Now if they want to make that a rule as an added safeguard for software failure going forward I’d listen to that.

I like people pretending the guy who made tens of millions of dollars selling a charter is taking Daniel Dye’s money because he has no choice if he wants to keep the lights on.

Turns out my “he’ll be back in O’Reilly by Charlotte” prediction was undershooting it.

The amplification of milking their fanbase makes me wonder if TKO’s massive debt load is becoming a concern.

The series has a rotating in-car camera that for some reason has never been on the 10.
