Chinese solar exports doubled in a single month to reach a record high in March 2026 - 68GW
Every extra new solar panel is destroying current and future fossil fuel demand. The Hormuz closure is already having long term impacts

When Labour inevitably gets humiliated at the local elections they will have nobody to blame but themselves. They have massively alienated a lot of core voters by chasing Reform with ever more hostile policies against migrants and other marginalised groups.
BROWDER: Putin won't use nuclear weapons. He’s stuck with conventional.
He’s losing drone war, losing 1,000 to 1,500 men a day, his oil business being destroyed by Ukrainians.
Putin is cornered right now. There’s nothing he can do about it, and we should corner him even more.
It’s as if Labour are going put of their way to piss people off and turn them away from the party. I presume the party leadership are looking at the polls? 🤷♂️

Brexit has failed, it’s time to put the country ahead of old, tired ideologies.

It began with coal and steel. But from the very start, our Union was always meant to be much more.
75 years ago, in Paris, with the signing of the Treaty of Paris, Europe chose a different path.
One of unity over division, of peace over war.

STUBB: I would prefer, in the long run, to see Ukraine in NATO. I mean, what are the biggest conventional militaries in Europe right now? They're Turkey, Ukraine, Poland, and Finland. Should we not use this? And we have to understand that the Russian threat is not going away.
Nothing will convince me that Mahmood isn't a Reform plant at this stage. This isn't about how she looks, race, religion or anything else. It is that she is implementing abhorrently racist and xenophobic policies while telling those who point out that they are such to fuck off. Hardly a winning plan

Could we please start acknowledging that Labour is doing a piss-poor job with immigration - and is handling the whole conversation in a very non-Social Democratic way?
HUNGARY’S OUTGOING GOVERNMENT ‘SHREDDING EVERYTHING’
The foreign minister literally locked himself in the building with his flunkies and they spent days shredding state papers to hide their guilty relationships with Moscow.
Orban seems to have gone into hiding and a massive cover up is underway
Our future is IN the EU
#RejoinEU
Unbelievable bullshit from Mahmood here. 😡😡😡 She's proposing truly cruel, hostile policies against foreigners – equal to the hardest Tory policies or worse – and then she has the gall to play the racism card against those progressives who call her out on it! It's MAGA scale hypocrisy!
You watched "The Hunger Games" and sided with the resistance.
You watched "Star Wars" and sided with the resistance.
You watched "The Matrix" and sided with the resistance.
But in real life they expect you to side with the Evil Empire, the billionaires.
The Home Secretary told a "white liberal" complaining about her far-right immigration policies to "fuck right off", & to add insult to injury, accused them of being racist.
What do they put in the water at the Home Office?

🔴 Britain’s Solar Revolution Is Here and We Should Be Shouting It From the Rooftops
Ed Miliband is helping to turn the country into a nation of ‘solar zealots’ and I'm enthusiastically along for the ride. Thankfully I'm not alone.

As with the Tories, same with Labour. I’ve had enough of both. Time for a complete change from those 2 parties and our 2 party system all of which have done us no favours for decades.

Some tips on getting solar panels installed Get the funding in place. If upfront cash is an issue, check out the alternatives I’ve covered previously. Do some research. The SolarUK subreddit is excellent, as well as people like Gary Does Solar on YouTube. Search local solar installers near you. Make sure they are MCS registered (they will say so if they are and will be on the MCS database) Make a note of your energy usage over the year (in kwh). This will help with getting the right battery size. The advice is often to ‘max out’ the number of panels you can fit. Since labour and scaffolding is a big part of the cost, additional panels often add little to the overall cost. Get an in-person quote from a well-reviewed firm. They will tell you how many panels you can fit on your roof (there are also tools online where to help you approximate this) Go to 2-3 other well-reviewed firms to get more quotes Haggle, if you are so inclined Pick one. Book it in. Get on the right tariff in advance – one which offers cheap overnight rates. This will let you charge your battery cheaply for the next day’s usage, whether it’s sunny or not. Several offer nighttime rates of around 7p per kwh. Pick somewhere for the battery and inverter to go, either in a large cupboard or outside (keeping them in lofts is strongly discouraged now) Sort out energy exporting – as soon as you have a G99 export certificate your installer has (hopefully) got hold of, plus the MCS certificate, you can sign up for an export tariff, e.g. EDF, Octopus, Good Energy, Eon. For renters: start exploring plug-in solar. It’s coming soon (and is already possible with sign off from an electrician). Failing that, pester your landlord. It will boost their EPC and make your home a far nicer place to live.
I've written up some tips on installing solar panels in the UK if you're lucky enough to own your own home (and roof).
These are just tips that worked for me - I'm sure others will have more.
If it helps anyone at all I'll be delighted.
Chinese car & battery company CATL now have a product which would allow a car to go from London to Barcelona on a single charge. And another that charges fully in 6.5 mins
Chinese reaping rewards from investing early & heavy in clean transition. Way ahead of the west now
