Testers are not curious about AI anymore. They’re serious about it.

This session isn't about the vague ā€œAI will change everythingā€ noise.

If you’re a tester wondering what ā€œAI agents in Testingā€ actually means (beyond Copilot demos), I wrote a two-part article that breaks it down using a simple 5W1H lens.

The first part is here on the ShiftSync blog.

Automation Guild is 10 years old. Congrats, @testguild.bsky.social

Most conferences don’t last that long. This one did for a reason.

It cares about: Testers. Practitioners. SDETs. Quality. Value. Impact.

Council of LLMs for Testers - Rahul's Testing Titbits A modern twist on ancient wisdom. Let's learn how to use a Council of LLMs as a tester to solve problems like kings & governments did, with diverse AI advisors.

Use it for:
āœ… Brainstorming
āœ… Testing
āœ… Strategy
āœ… Creative work

Let the council guide you.

The council goes to work.

What you get back is gold:
āœ… Fresh Ideas
šŸ” Gaps & blind spots
šŸ› ļø Detailed Plans

A 24/7 advisory board for your brain.

This isn’t just smart—it’s ancient wisdom, upgraded.
Akbar had his Navratnas.
You’ve got your LLMs.

Old strategy.
New tools.
Massive leverage.

Each LLM brings unique strengths—
One's a code genius.
Another's a creative spark.
Another spots flaws like a devil’s advocate.

Together?
They become your Council of LLMs.

How it works:
You bring a basic idea.
You craft a solid prompt:
→ What
→ How
→ With context, examples, and goals.

The smartest leaders in history never made decisions alone.
šŸ‘‘ Kings had councils.
šŸ›ļø Governments have expert panels.
🧠 Why? Diverse minds = better outcomes.

Now imagine having your own council...
But instead of people, it’s made up of the world’s best AI models.

And judgment requires context, nuance, and ownership.

Responsibility and testing are two sides of the same coin.
You can’t outsource one without weakening the other.

Autonomy without accountability?
That’s irresponsibility.

AI agents should empower, not replace.

Thoughts?

My take on AI agents (especially in testing):

Not every problem needs a fully autonomous system.
Sometimes, what you really need… is a smart assistant, not a decision-maker.

Testing is one of those problems.
The human must remain in the loop.

Why? Because testing is judgment.
And judgment...

• Staying in the Comfort Zone: Growth happens when you push beyond what’s familiar — don’t be afraid to challenge yourself.

• Ignoring Trends: The tech landscape evolves rapidly. Keeping up with the latest trends and demands is crucial to staying relevant.

• Chasing Shortcuts: There’s no substitute for the hard work and persistence needed to truly master your craft.

• Pointing Fingers: Blaming managers, colleagues, or even your company only delays taking personal responsibility for growth.

• Avoiding Proof of Work in Public

• Learning Without Action: Absorbing knowledge without putting it into practice means your hard-earned lessons fade away.

• Resource Hoarding: Saving links, references, and tutorials without ever actually using them? That’s a fast track to underdevelopment.

How do you ensure you remain ā€œunhirableā€ as a tester?

It might sound counterintuitive, but here’s a checklist of habits that could be sabotaging your career:

• Neglecting Your Craft: If you’re not constantly sharpening your skills, you’re setting yourself up for stagnation.
