My district has allowed gemini access for teachers but blocked all manner of other tools. Gemini told me that its “honest opinion” (is there another option?) is that I should leave this district, or maybe look at teaching at private or charter schools.

I teach HS CTE classes that students get college credit for, and they should. It is the same curriculum (written by adobe) in both places, & HS students take industry level certifications.

My students are working on “dear historian” videos. They speak to historians 50 years from now on a topic they think historians will write about and share their perspectives about living through it. I’ll stitch them together, a video time capsule.

PD today, topic was AI in special populations. It was an online course, obviously written in part by AI and educators had to answer discussion questions to complete the pd. Educators clearly used ai to answer.
