Notable is Dertour's focus, from the outset, on 'shared benefits', including future 'economies of scale in the tour operator business'. These include basing Hotelplan and its brands 'on a joint technological platform'. Dertour points to its integration of Kuoni as evidence of its track record.

Should it all go through, it will leave Dertour with an enviable UK portfolio, featuring Kuoni and its 30 retail outlets, Carrier, CV Villas, Journey Latin America, Jules Verne, Kirker Holidays and recent acquisition Solmar Villas. Dertour has also committed to retaining all these brands.
