Got one clue left in my crossword and I'm completely stumped. Might come back to it in the morning.

I thank you! And right back at you fellow bookherd ๐
I'd be terrible at being Mark Watson, for a start I'm far too lazy, I think you'll have to stick at it. Hope tomorrow's a better day for you.
No clue. Gtr Manchester but sometimes oblivious and owner of a crap memory.
I don't know why anyone would be mean to you ๐ can't wait to give you the biggest smile when you're over in July!
It was crazy, we woke up twenty minutes before we needed to leave! Still amazed me made it ๐
First day of school after the break today and I forgot to put all my alarms back on their term time settings yesterday. Unfortunately, I do rely on a series of alarms to make sure daughter gets to school and I get to work and basically anywhere I need to be. Somehow I did get her to school on time ๐
Love them!
I read any fiction I could get my hands on as a child, which mostly meant what was in the house or my grandma's house, and, well, as an adult I find I bounce around between different genres and classics. Guess it rings true for me, although I do now read some non-fiction, too.

Cornhole is fun!
Ok but please let us know you do get home safe!
I'd love to visit Ostia. I remember learning about it at school and I've wanted to go ever since.
Oh dear I forgot all about my online Scrabble games when I was at Alton Towers and now I have lost nine games because they timed out.
My daughter has been asking me about first, second and third person recently. We've been reading together since she was a baby, but this is making me think I need to do a better job of explaining it, just in case.
Have to walk to work today and it's not in my closest library. Doable but I'll be tired before I begin yay!
I looked up the track listing - because I can see they're all collabs but I don't know them all - and Therapy?, slightly bizarrely, is the first band I ever saw live. I did own the ep or single of fallin' back at the time, though. Listened to a lot of pearl jam around the time of my GCSEs.
I've been listening to teenage fanclub since 1993 and I think I will never stop. Happily still listen to faith no more on occasion too.
View of the gardens at Alton Towers. Water flowing down stone steps in the centre of view, mixed foliage and trees, a statue and a mostly cloudy sky.
Home from the trip, and it was mostly good. Some tree or plant was producing pollen that was making my eyes itch like crazy, though. It was pretty unbearable.
I have no clue where I first heard it but I've remembered it for at least twenty years which pretty much shows how mature I am. Still makes me laugh after all these years.
I can only apologise in advance ๐
Did you hear about the constipated mathematician?
They had to work it out with a pencil.
Opens slush pile.

Screams.
Closes computer.
Screams again.
Runs off into the woods.
Sees squirrel.
Hmmm... Squirrels have never submitted a generated story.
Squirrel gets treat.
I only know one bad joke and it's kind of gross so I thought kitty pic would be more comforting.
Went on the new Bluey ride at Alton Towers. It was surprisingly fast! My daughter and I were squealing but we both agreed we would be able to go on it again. Unfortunately, heavy rain started before we made it back for another go and it closed for the rest of the afternoon.
On the left Stern The Mandalorian pinball table (only partly in view) and on the right Stern Godzilla, full view. The play fields are lit up and colourful.
Found two pinball tables at Alton Towers in the Forbidden Valley arcade and they both worked. Quid a go.
If the food doesn't make me sick I'm calling it a win.
I'm going to Alton Towers. The reviews have been terrible this year so I'm hoping for an average time. I can't go on any of the 'big rides' because I have a balance impairment so maybe it'll be fine. Just passing Stoke-on-Trent.
We're at the stunning British Academy in London preparing for the formal launch of the Libraries Alliance later this morning. Libraries of all kinds are coming together as a unified voice, showing how libraries support people through every stage of life. Find out more: librariesalliance.org.uk
