I finished my review of the first Metroid. Frankly, I don't know how I feel about it, but at least I'm glad I finally wrote about such an historically important game

How cool that you have one of those TVs for gaming! They're a real gem for PS2 games and older.
A little trick if you want better sound is to get an RCA to 3.5 jack adapter, which will allow you to connect the audio to an external speaker
My next reviews will be...
Metroid
Super Mario Bros.
Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance
And I'll probably focus on completing the games I had planned to play before 2026
Well, I've finished the second 100-day video game music challenge. I'm satisfied, as I've now managed to include many more songs that I like.
And now that it's over, I have more time and energy to focus on playing and reviewing, so I hope to pick it up again soon.

Unless they are remakes, this collection will not be good
I only have 20% completion in the list of games I want to play in 2025 💀. Time to get serious, I don't want to fail for the third time in a row.
Tomorrow will be my first day at a new job. I'm a little anxious about it, but also excited to find out how it goes.
I definitely feel a little surprised with my results. I don't know how true many of these characteristics of mine are, although there are some that are accurate

There is the mute option, which hides all of a person's posts from you, but you can still follow each other, so it's ideal for not hurting anyone's feelings
For some reason I've become obsessed with chocolate chip cookies
I've made a list of my favorite water themes in video games... phew, that was a bit time-consuming, although if it's well received, I might make lists of other common video game areas, like ice, fire, sky, castle, etc.

Okay, time to go back to Warrior Within and finish it too
People who say this style is "boring" are focusing more on throwing hate instead of appreciating the beautiful pixel art of the characters and enemies in these games, which ARE easily distinguishable from one HD-2D game to another
I watched a bit of "VTuber" Zoma's special stream 😂, and the new HD-2D remake looks fabulous, fantastic, incredible 🥹.
It's truly a high-level remake of the game and promises to improve it greatly. I can't wait; it could make DQ2 one of my favorite games, along with the rest that came after it.
I never considered a new DQ3 remake necessary but I'm glad it happened because it paved the way for DQ2 Remake. The only game in the series whose developers always lamented being unable to realize their vision due to time and system constraints
They're giving Dragon Quest II the respect it deserves
If you dislike them, just ignore them—no one’s forcing you to play. Why spread hate about something you don’t care for and that doesn’t affect you?
Those who complain about HD-2D games, saying "there are too many," "they all look the same," act as if there are 100 of them, when there are barely 9 (including unreleased).
It's ironic because many of these critics haven’t even played the games and probably wouldn’t, even if they looked different
I found this "About me: videogames" template on a Discord server.
I've already filled it out, so it's time to share it here too
Complaining about them seems a bit silly to me since they don't hurt anyone and they don't make indie games with traditional pixel art disappear or anything like that
The people who complain the most about the HD-2D style are the ones who haven't even played many (or any) games with those graphics or aren't even interested in those games.
On the other hand, those who follow HD-2D games ask for more, so I think it's good that there are more games like this
Official character art for the Prince of Midenhall from Dragon Quest 2 HD-2D Remake
Official character art for the Prince of Cannock from Dragon Quest 2 HD-2D Remake
Official character art for the Princess of Moonbrooke from Dragon Quest 2 HD-2D Remake
Official character art for the Princess of Cannock from Dragon Quest 2 HD-2D Remake
New official character art for the Dragon Quest II Remake: Hero / Prince of Midenhall, Prince of Cannock, Princess of Moonbrooke, and Princess of Cannock.
It will be released on all modern platforms including PC
So it's a HD-2D Zelda-Like with more focus on combat? I couldn't be happier actually. How cool that Team Asano is making this kind of game
Team Asano's game titles are undercooked as hell. I think even the code names of other games from other companies are better 😂
Well... I ended up making the list, even though I don't feel like its purpose leads to anything or is particularly significant or important. It's certainly kind of strange

Maybe
It looks like Octopath Traveler 0 will take the story from the mobile game as a starting point to tell a familiar, yet new, tale
Hmm... interesting. It won't be the same story, but at the same time, they'll share a lot in common
Sounds good. I haven't played CotC, but I want to someday
