I still have those last two Avengers movies and No Way Home in front of it, but those movies really soar because of the spectacle. This one nearly reaches those heights just by being about something and letting the actors tap into things you don't often see in a superhero movie. It's so impressive.

I’ve been arguing for a while now that Scream should have a new creative team for every movie. It should be the horror equivalent of the pre-McQ Mission: Impossibles. So I’m fine with this (although I wouldn’t hate getting some more exciting names involved for an installment).

Here's the thing about the Harry Potter show: Even without the JK Rowling baggage, it's a creatively bankrupt endeavor. With the baggage, it becomes both creatively bankrupt AND underhandedly sinister.

I don’t disagree with this. (I love Abarat.) But the conversation was about adaptations, and I’d think being a series that’s older but incomplete could be a roadblock to catching someone’s interest in porting the story elsewhere. Especially for something that’s a bit more cult-y than mainstream.

I hate to say it, but the big demerit with Arabat is that it's currently unfinished (and likely to remain that way). I know it's not necessarily Clive's fault, and, of course, you always have to put your health first. But it is a bit of a bummer.

Netflix should let Arrow Video put out a fancy Wake Up Dead Man 4K release too.
