- Progress & Collaboration: Uruguay stands out as the only country in the Americas with successful ARR. IFRRO’s 2026 Private Copy Global Survey highlights stable revenue with minimal consumer costs; the LAC group thrives on unity & support from CEDRO (Spain) and Brazil’s pioneering AI legislation.
- AI & Copyright Challenges: AI is reshaping fair remuneration, w/ translators in LATAM losing 25-30% of their work, raising concerns about bias & cultural quality. Tech companies are pushing for data access, but Latin American constitutions protect copyright, making legislative changes difficult.
