Last year, I illustrated this now-published story which explores the topic of beareavement.
Inspired by a true story, it tells the story of Layla coming to terms with the loss of her grandad. It was bought to life with soft gouache washes and handpainted characters.
If they are hitting water infrastructure in Iran, that’s a crime against humanity on an enormous scale. I planned to publish something on Iran’s water crisis this week but it obviously got bumped. Iran was already in a critical state pre war, destroying water infrastructure will kill innocent people

Maybe it’s because I’m a colonial historian but so many of these white nation states seem to behave exactly like they did in the 19th century: ‘your leaders aren’t right for you,’ ‘we’re only killing you/colonizing you/installing puppet leaders for your own good’

The lesson continues to be that you can never trust Americans.
Any state threatened by the Americans will have concluded by now that their only safety is to develop nukes asap, surely?
The US and Israel are bombing Iran. Anyone reporting it as “preventive” is engaging in propaganda, by definition. There is no interpretation of what’s happening as anything else than a crime.
You don’t have to like the Iranian regime to understand why this is bad.
