This male Baltimore Oriole has a nice contrast of Black and Yellow/Orange colors with a bit of white. Here it is perched on an Orange half I put out in the backyard on a Shepherd's Hook.

Male Rose-breasted Grosbeak perrched on this Shepherd's Hook and eyeing an orange half I put out. It's easy to see how their name comes from the adult male coloration with the rose breast contrasting with the white breast and light colored beak.

We had quite a few migrants pass thru our yard yesterday and getting some stuff today as well. Here are male and female Rose-breasted Grosbeaks. They didn't mind the light rain and enjoyed some orange halves, peanuts and suet. #CorpusChristiTX #Birds #Nature

Yes on occasion. We also see raccoons and opossums on the cameras. Outside the yard we see Wild Pigs, Coyotes and occasional Bobcat.

We’re lucky enough to see them fairly regularly in the yard. Interesting animal.

When we lived in San Antonio years ago, we had a cold winter with 2-3 days of lows in teens. Also had some hummers hanging around the same time which worried me. I just had to insure liquid sugar water. 🤪Those Flying Jewels came thru w no problems using their torpor at night & daytime food source.
