Knowing M365 Copilot can look through my Sent Items in outlook and update me on responses I'm waiting on, and when to reach back out to people is a great function. Guidance on how to set a professional tone - "leave them an easy out" - is good coaching.
Additionally, I get to know and work with some cool companies. Knowing what they bring to the customer experience is a big deal when working with account teams and bringing them into deal conversations.
It's not about friendships, but customer success.
The decision is the customer's anyway.

From this vantage point, when I speak to a customer who has a need, I point them to people I know do good work, whom I've also had the privilege to enjoy their company, perspectives, and thought-leadership...

I don't think it's showing preferential treatment when suggesting someone you know who does good work.
These relationships, though professional, shape us. And we continue to connect with those who do good work, and create happy repeat customers.
