Do you see how ridiculous this is?
Of course you do.
This is the same as every single GC being portrayed as a feminist in the media.
Can you see that, too?

Students "deserve curricula that recognize the full scope of their humanity, outside of their roles as consumers and users of technology, and they deserve an education that allows them to explore the myriad ways their lives and choices are connected to others"
literally no word of this is a lie or wrong or even exaggerated for comedic effect.
This is (a short version of) very exactly what has happened. This is not a joke.
hi hello, bugs here
i would like us all to stop pretending that ai in its current market available form is like
literally anything. it's a funny goof it's a party trick.

For the avoidance of doubt, following the publication of the explicitly transphobic Scottish Labour manifesto this morning, I will not be campaigning for any Scottish Labour candidates in the upcoming election, and I will not be voting Scottish Labour either.

Is that... a chart showing 23 years' change in incomes that is NOT adjusted for inflation??? 😳🤣
The *whole damn pop idea* of the Nazis as hypercompetent, calculating and cold villains, is Nazi propaganda.
Imagine if in 50 years people talked about how smart Trump was, how dangerously competent Vance was, how coldly rational and scientific RFK was.
In pop history, people learn that the Allies almost assassinated Hitler several times but each time went "oh no, he would be replaced with this even worse and more competent guy, call it off"
That is because the US government hired tons of Nazis after the war, that is Nazi propaganda.
Will I get in trouble for this.
"“Gender critical” is an inaccurate term for a movement which is anything but ‘critical,’ in the academic sense, in its approach. “Gender criticality” is marked, in fact, by a profound lack of intellectual inquiry."
Apparently, collaborating with AI impairs unassisted performance because it optimises on short-term goals not long-term. The frame is the trick; you can't actually 'collaborate' with a synthetic token machine at all. Myth-making masquerading as critique ⚠️

I think there were one or two lucky guesses in there, but it didn't hurt that teemage me memorised significant chunks of the text, including a number of obscure poems about Eärendil. 🤓
23! That was fun. 😁
I dunno, historically does it not strike you that calls to "accept we're all going to be poorer" and must tighten our belts tend to end up in practical terms with a small class of people massively enriching themselves?
The only apocalyptic view I'll accept is Interregnum. But that, of course, requires us to start building the new world now, before the old one ends.
With the HP trailer dropping tomorrow, here's the whole deal:
If you watch the show, hell even just the trailer, I will think less of you. I will dislike you. I will think you don't care about trans people.
That's it. It's been years. There's no wiggle room. No qualifiers. You care or you don't.
This will probably be a slow and enraging job, but I'm going to start a thread to examine the documents put together as justifications for removing hormone therapy as a (theoretical) option for under 18s on the NHS
They are linked here

"In one of the documents seen by Index, the school admits that the categorisations of the books were written using AI, writing: “Although the categorisation was generated using AI, I consider this classification to be broadly accurate.”"
Of course. Of course they used AI.
“almost quit”
“Those are a good start, but I prefer a third, which is to better connect universities to community, with more democratic internal decision-making systems.
University bosses, after all, are part of the problem. I don’t think much will change while they are the only ones in charge.”

ME: oh a little Zohran video for St Patrick's Day, probably just celebrating Irish culture, maybe a few green beer jokes
ZOHRAN (2 minutes in): ...and that's why King Leopold I of Belgium is a big wet bitch. Furthermore...
billionaire being interviewed: i havent listened to a single note of music in 27 years. think about it, music was basically invented, what, maybe 50 years ago?
interviewer: this is really interesting
Incredible line to cling to when "asking any random member of the public about it" would have been a robust enough process to prevent this
Can we please stop acting like we have no choice other than to accept AI in everything? All this "It's here, just accept it" nonsense. Lots of bad things have been "here" and gone. Saying no is a thing. No matter what the half dozen billionaires behind this whole scheme need us to believe.
liberal democracy is a political system set up to serve the interests of the bourgeois by classing them as the only people who actually qualify as people at all
that's why voting was restricted to white male property owners for most of the history of it
people notice this because they do have media literacy
not because they lack it
they disagree with it because it is abhorrent
not because they don't understand it
What’s wrong with these people? I want the robot to tidy my house, while I play with my kid. Not vice versa.
Here's an example:
ABA therapy was first done to autistic children, pioneered by Ole Ivar Lovaas. He was a nazi.
In 1974 he pivoted to creating the Feminine Boy Project, applying these torture techniques to develop conversion therapy for queer children.

Saying to an autistic person "but you're intelligent, you're not really disabled" makes as much sense as saying the same thing to a dyslexic person, or a wheelchair user for that matter.
Yes, exactly. At a time when autistic people are dying by suicide at a rate much higher than the general population, receiving substandard healthcare and routinely being excluded from education (more so since academisation) and discriminated against in employment this is harmful and dangerous.
