While I have slowed down my yarn purchases in the last 5+ years, I was still buying yarn and didn't have a really good idea of how much I was acquiring vs. using and therefore the rate of growth of the stash. My stash in/stash out spreadsheet lets me feel accomplished and helps me (theoretically) reconsider purchases without the burden of actual numbers.
