In recent days, AMA communications to the New York Times have requested a correction on their part to reflect the actual language the AMA used in response to their inquiry. Additionally, a letter to the editor has been submitted requesting a public correction—this was neither a policy change nor was it an endorsement of a position taken by another medical society. In addition, during Congressional testimony in mid-March, I had the opportunity to set the record straight stating to the Subcommittee on Health of the House Energy and Commerce Committee that there has been no change in AMA policy with respect to access to and provision of gender-affirming care. This will appear in the Congressional Record.

Four California families are suing for discrimination in a class action after Rady abruptly ended their care:

“Our lawsuit alleges that ... to terminate care for transgender patients is discrimination … because Rady is basically deciding to stop care based on who those patients are."

Trump just declared that he’d ban trans women from the Olympics.

Only one openly transgender woman has ever competed in the Olympic Games in its history. In 2020. She did not win a medal.

This is fabricated controversy to fuel bigotry. Like banning trans women from owning nuclear weapons.

Florida Passes Bill That Lets DeSantis Remove Local Elected Officials From Office For "Promoting" Pride The bill could heavily impact LGBTQ+ activities throughout the state, and is the latest exercise in the erosion of democracy there.

1. Attacks on LGBTQ+ people have always been tied with the erosion of democracy.

Now, a bill has just been passed in Florida that lets DeSantis remove elected officials for promoting pride/LGBTQ+ people in their official capacity.

No court hearing necessary.

San José State University Sues Trump Admin Over Anti-Trans Threats—Refusing to Capitulate The Trump regime said San José State had to break state law to discriminate against trans students, but the university said it isn’t budging.

The University has REJECTED Trump's demands to ban trans people from bathrooms, dorms, and other facilities.

6. Among the most powerful tools at his disposal: Mamdani can immediately direct NYC Health + Hospitals, the largest public hospital system in the country, to absorb transgender youth displaced by the NYU Langone and Mount Sinai closures.
