Aw crap, tomorrow’s update day and the dumb marketplace too (please nobody buy any moola, even Maxis staff wants it to fail). Expecting lots of mods to break especially ones that adjust autonomy

Yeah, I'm talking about that bug, but there is simmers that say they have seen it like 10 years ago but it must have been really rare back then 🤔 Lot corruption (that I think Little Red is talking about) started after the For Rent patch 🤔

... exclamation marks/llama pics on the neighborhood and the save start to disintegrate itself. This has been there longer, but started to be seen more after For Rent.

I think we are speakig of a few different issues when referring to "savefile corruption". Yes I think the one with lots & infinite loading started then (and ofc it's breaking saves too) but "savefile corruption bug" is maybe more used when referring to bug which reverts lots or makes them empty...

There's The Sims Game Info Hub in the forums and I can find at least 4 posts starting from 6 months ago about save file & lot corruption and what they're doing with it. They also launched Memory Boost feature to tackle it (even though it's been quiet around it lately).

There is bug reports of this problem even before that patch. I think that is why the Sims Team refuses to say it is because of For Rent. But it's clear it became much more common after the patch & using r-rentals.

Some bugs can spread if you have it and then open other saves from the main menu without closing the game in between 😞

I considerded just keeping the code and using it at a later date when the savefile corruption would have been solved... But I don't know if we'll see that day + wanted to be sure the code works so I installed 😁

It has been a must have for me from the beginning but I have postponed getting it because of the bugs. I just got it yesterday (from Loaded) because of the same reason... And I pray for my 10 years old savefile 🫣🤞🏼

Some, yes. But the compiled list from the bug forums tells there is still plenty left (but so is with every pack 🤷🏼‍♀️). Then there is that save file corruption thing that they have been trying to tackle...

It's now clear that EA would rather kill the franchise by milking it dry for immediate financial gain rather than continue it and take risks to deliver a game made for its players. They could generate more revenue in the long run, but they don't give a shit about The Sims as a beloved franchise.
