i think this is a good case to talk about context
writing that script *for yourself in your free time* could be art, especially if writing scripts is something you're passionate about
if it were a job assigned to you, it might not be """art""" then - but you could still be passionate about it
i agree with that definition without a doubt! i just feel like there could be more reasons as to why someone makes art other than to just quote-unquote "make art"
it's just fascinating to me that we can just Make Things, i find that really cool =w=
i'm inclined to say no, the sun is not "art" by my definition
sure the sun by itself isn't really something that spectacular, given we see it every day of our lives
but it's what we Do with that information that can be considered "artistic"
how we compare things To it, how it does things, etc etc
that's the neat thing about art though, sometimes it doesn't *need* to have """intent""" or a deep meaning
as i said before, art as a whole is subjective
what one may consider art someone else may brush it off entirely as just scribbles on a canvas
but to answer your initial question, anything made by a neural-network "genAI" LLM whateveryacallit is NOT art
because machines are not humans
beyond the examples given, lots of things can be considered "art" under the right contexts
i also like to think art poses questions, challenges preconceived notions, among other similar notions
art isn't objective, it's SUBjective

i personally consider "art" to be something, pretty much anything, made by hand and with copious amounts of passion
something simple and surface-level, like the aforementioned light switch and shipping container, may seem arbitrary to some; but it also requires context
