I am furious that decent people are embarrassed by their substandard housing, as if they made bad life choices instead of being victims of an exploitative system. This is EXACTLY how FFG wants us to feel because it deflects from their repeated failures. This failure is 100% theirs, not ours.

I dont understand why RTÉ have ignored it. It's the most exciting race in the country imo.
The final count for #GE24 #Limerick City is underway. The neck-and-neck race between Conor Sheehan (Lab) and Elisa O'Donovan (SocDem) will be decided by the transfers from Dee Ryan (FF) on the 15th count.
Conor is currently ahead by just 16 votes.
There are 4,427 ballots to process.
It would be interesting to know how many teachers, school principals and SNAs voted for Norma Foley, Hildegarde Naughton and Peter Burke (FG - Michael O’Leary launched his election campaign with a teacher jibe). #edchatie

It is humbling to see that the two major social issues discussed tonight - homelessness and disability services - have been reduced to reliance on charity. Despite the wealth in this state, these critical areas remain dependent on charitable provision. #GE24
