Okay, I'm glad I'm not the only one going crazy regarding this. I remember seeing it when it came out, giving it a bit of a confused shrug, and then hearing everyone completely eviscerate it online. But the last couple weeks has been seemingly every oomfie praising it *extremely* highly. 🤷‍♀️

I wish his character was more interesting, but that was my thought for every character in those movies, ha ha.

This "somehow" moment is a bit everyone makes fun of, but it felt intentionally tongue-in-cheek to me. (Though hey, I also found "they fly now!" to be legitimately funny, lol.)

I also suspect most of the publishers I dig (note: they're all in Japan) will continue chugging along with their "AA" releases while dozens of giant studios that make stuff I don't care for all collapse under the weight of their impossible expectations.

My take at this point is even if no new games were ever made from here on out, there are still so many released from past years that I doubt I'd ever get to all the ones I'm interested in.
