THE LATTER IS ALSO VALID! I feel it's best before following to scan through an artist's stuff, If you like what you see, follow for more! If you hate it you can always mute & move on! Both are extremely Valid!! Best case you find gems that were posted years ago, worst case you avoid the artist.
One thing I recommend for EVERY one who follows artists, scrub through their galleries!

You might see stuff you REALLY like and might not have seen otherwise since you only recently followed.

The same malware (or similair) is also used and masked as Minecraft modpacks, other game mods, general fake games or small tools.. They will use youtube videos of stolen trailers, Ai generated images &/or descriptions using Real games' assets as the base.. its a lot & I haven't been able to keep up.
The rabbit hole of the effort these scammers go through is deeper than it should be
TLDR, if they manage to hack an account they will use any means they can to profit off of it, whether it be a server owner, Itchio account, possibly even Steam creator.
